Comments: I initially bought this string for the color. I love the red color. I also love the fact that it is made in the USA. I do admit that you don't get quite the amount of game play as some of the other types of string, but it plays consistently throughout its lifespan. You will also be able to tell when it needs to be replaced beforehand. Since the string is textured, It helps give you added control to your game (racquetball) if you like to put spin on your shots.

Comments: Quite possibly the roughest string I have ever felt and strung.  When stringing I noticed that the string will actually cut into the mains when you are doing the crosses.  Very rough string, I would think it is great for tennis as you need the grip when putting top spin or slicing it, but I am using it for racquetball.  As far as playability it was ok, being rough the string did not last long and prematurely broke.  While playing I did notice the groove it cut into itself in the spots it normally stays and it gets pretty deep.  It felt ok while playing, almost average kind of string.  When stringing you use less tension on the strings, I think 10-15% less tension than you normally use, so I strung my racquet at 30lbs.  I would not purchase again, as it was $13 and did not last very long, or be real significant to invest again.  I basically got it for the looks as it is dark red.

Comments: I bought an Ektelon DPR Magnum Lite 170 in late December (absolutely LOVE the racquet!) and had it strung with Ashaway PowerKill 17 RB string at 33#.  I've been playing 2-3 times per week.  On 2/24 I noticed the strings were just starting to fray and shift.  The next time I played on 2/26, about half-way through my first game, the strings broke.  I am very disappointed that I couldn't get more than two months of moderate play out of them.  While they performed great, I'm switching strings to see if I can get some more durability.

Comments: Provides the pop you expect and the control you need. The best aspect of this string is the feel, it feels fantastic, especially when new. As the string wears and the friction coating wears, the strings start to move and the feel degrades slightly. Doesn't break prematurely, you can tell by the string wear when it's time to buy more. You can string this at your normal tension, no need to go 10% less like with the zyex strings.
