Comments: I used to sell strings and I tried so many types of strings, from the expensive to the affordable strings. For me, this string is almost comparable to the qualities of an expensive gut string or a soft poly (like the Tourna Big Hitter Blue). As always, you need to find out for yourself what tension works best for your racquet (and your style of play).

Comments: Price and durability are the only positives for this strings. Plays horribly and will ruin the string bed in any hybrid combination.
From: Andy, 10/13

Comments: Best synthetic cross string I have tried yet. Soft and durability is good.
From: Bob, 4/12

Comments: Look no farther, this string is very good and you can't beat it for the price. It is comfortable and solid as a rock. Some costly multi-strings are to soft or lose tension quicker. All you have to do is string it tight for more control or loose for more power. With a solid middle and a few strands covering over it; you have less problems to have flat shots. This is similar in my opinion to the old fashion Prince sythetic gut with more zest. The 16 gauge will give you a truer weight setup. Have fun and enjoy.

Comments: I agree with most people's comments. I've been using this stuff for years. Forten makes great products and at under $3, the Sweet 16 is difficult to beat. Plays great across the entire racquet and is also one of my favorite strings for a hybrid. It strings up very easy. The string is limp and soft but makes a pretty durable cross string since it keeps a lot of ploys from moving on the mains. On playability, this string rivals many strings that are 3X the price. Good combination of power, feel and control!

Comments: Awesome string very soft and all around great!! Definitely recommend it to anyone!!
From: John, Miami, FL, USA, 02/11

Comments: I like this better than X-One Biphase and frankly any other string I've used including gut. It's strange, but the feel of this string is incredible. This string is unlike any other synthetic gut.
From: Jay, Birmingham, MI, USA, 01/11

Comments: I keep finding myself coming back to Forten Sweet 16 & 17 anytime I stray away from it. I went to Lux BB & had wrist pain after 3 months. I tried some soft multi's, but most had no power. Forten Sweet is the best of both worlds...and dirt cheap.
From: Steve, SC, USA, 01/11

Comments: Best cross for hybrid stringing! I use it with sppp17 as my main. Great consistency, durability, and spin production. It's my best set up for serving and topspin forehands, and I've tried a lot of multi and other copolys. This is a great string for its price!
From: Alex, Muskegon, MI, USA, 11/10

Comments: I love this string. It is great! Very durable, and it has great feel. I love it not only for the price, but also because it is great string. I have used it as crosses with black code, red code, and gamma syn gut. It is the best string I have ever used. I wish they would come out with more colors. With my big forehand, I have already grooved the code and the syn gut, but this stuff isn't even phased! No notches at all and it doesn't move either. But it and try it, you will not be disappointed.
From: Mark, GA, USA, 09/10

Comments: Great synthetic gut for the price. It plays well in the crosses with a hybrid setup and also for those who prefer more feel it is also crisp and playable in a full set. If your looking for durability don't go with the full set. Though a full set only last about 5-6 hours it is worth the price in every way.
From: Christopher, Miami, Florida

Comments: Very comfortable synthetic, excellent overall value. I think it makes an excellent cross for copoly hybrids. Most customers love it. It's my go to value cross.
From: Michael, Ft Meyers, FL. 11/09

Comments: Very nice feel in a hybrid with a stiffer poly/copoly. But it just didn't hold tension very well at all. It would be a great choice for the price if you string your racquets on you own, instead of having to pay $10-20 for often restringing with the quick tension loss in this one.
From: Alex, TN, USA. 04/09

Comments: Nice soft synthetic, incredible value. My string of choice for crosses in any hybrid setup.
From: Mark, Syracuse, NY. 1/09

Comments: I've played with a lot of different string over the years including Babolat and Klip natural gut; various hybrids including Luxilon and Babolat polyesters. It's strange to me that Forten Sweet 16 and 17 are as good or better in playability, power, control and feel than anything I've used. It feels so much like Babolat gut to me with a little more power. I always go back to it, and it's my string of choice. I am baffled as to why it's not used more on tour. I know it's used a lot by college players. Maybe Forten doesn't offer sponsorships to pros. Durability is good in warm temperatures, but it can break more easily in colder weather. It's also great used as a cross string with polyesters and kevlar. As for the price, $2.99 per set, incredible!

Comments: Second with Mores in Sun Valley. Perfect cross on Hurricane 17 Main. Almost like putting naturals or multifils. on cross. Plays softer and last longer than Prince Syn. with Duraflex 17 as cross. Tension maintains well. Strung at 54 lbs on POG mid. 4.5-5.0 Player.
From: Paul CA, USA 07/05

Comments: This string is quite durable for its price, but playability is horrible. It just feels dead and doesn't respond, after it losses tension, it won't break! Only good for beginners, but then again, the price is unbeatable, especially in a reel. Strung at 60 lbs. on a Wilson Pro Staff 6.0 Mid.
From: Derek, San Francisco, CA, USA. 03/05

Comments: This is quite possibly the best string I have ever hit with. It is crisp feeling and clean hitting. For me, it has a perfect blend of control and power. I string it in one piece at 65 in the 6.1 classic and the 5.0 stretch. I found it to be average in the durability category. I broke them in about 8 hrs of play. I don't worry about that with the decreased cost of this string. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a solid synthetic that is easy on the arm as well as on the wallet. I am a solid 4.0 and spend 8-10 hours a week on the hard courts, and as little time as possible on the green stuff.
From: Joseph, Gastonia, NC, USA. 2/04

Comments: This string has above average power, feel & playability for a synthetic gut string. Durability is average but the price is excellent. Possibly the best of the "cheap" strings.
From: Dudley, Ocean, NJ, USA. 12/03

Comments: Don't let the cheap price trick you! This is a durable and great string for its price. It supplies pop and good feel.
