Do your shoes resemble a swamp when you step off the court? Most players sweat enough on the racquetball courts without having to deal with the heat that emanates from your primary propulsion system, your feet. The Mizuno Wave Lightning 7 is engineered with breathability in mind. The ultra mesh upper lets cool air in and makes it feel like you're almost not wearing shoes at all; it is super lightweight and optimal for the aggressive mover and those who like to cover a lot of court. On tope of breathability, the shoe is fitted with a plethora of Mizuno technology. The new Dynamotion Groove, Dynamotion Fit, and Mizuno Intercool systems all make this shoe a perfect choice for the aggressive player.

  • Fit: Length fit is true to size; Width runs snug throughout the shoe. If you are in between sizes, consider ordering a 1/2 size larger.
  • Arch Support: Medium, no break-in required
  • Upper: A series of high performance technical fabrics designed with special yarn, fabric structure, and dyeing process. DryLiteŞ transports perspiration vapor away from the body, cooling down body temperature.
  • Midsole: AP+ increases rebound while remaining light weight; Wave technology to dissipate shock.
  • Outsole: Gum Rubber
  • Colors: Black/White
  • Weight: 11.7 oz (size 10.0)

Comments: I had previously used Asics Gel Rocket 4 shoes to play in. Once they wore out I looked for a step up in the type of to purchase. I opted for the Lightning 7 and have been very impressed so far. I got the black/white and to me it looks even better in person than in the photos. I had debated on whether to buy a shoe with a flat sole across the bottom of the shoe or one of this style wondering if it might provide better traction. I'm glad I didn't let it stop me from picking this shoe. The traction is very good even on the always dusty courts I play on. Never a slip or loss of grip so far. WEIGHT! These shoes have to be the lightest pair of shoes I have ever had. I wondered if the few ounces difference between these shoes and some of the others would be noticeable and truthfully they are. You'll feel like you have nothing on your feet. The only draw backs are that to get that light weight they do not have a ton of padding in the inside of the shoe. It doesn't feel pillowy but on the other hand my feet haven't hurt after playing in the shoes so it may be a good balance comfort and firmness. The mesh material in the upper is very thin. This also helps keep the weight down but over time may wear faster than some others. However if the material is as good as the build quality of the shoe it may never be an issue. Overall extremely happy with these shoes and would buy them again in a minute.
