Comments: I had been using the "Python" branded friction rubber grips and couldn't find them anymore - were they discontinued, did the company out of business?! Those grips were awesome and help me maintain my hold on the racquet through a full 3-game match. However whatever the reason might be for the Python grips going away, I was happy to see that ProKennex started to sell these grips. They look uncannily similar to the Python grip and perform just as excellently! As for the other commentary about this grip not absorbing impacts (vis-a-vis cushioning effect), it should be pointed out that shock absorption is not the purpose of this or any rubber grip - it is to prevent slipping. Setting aside the movement of the wrist, swinging motion and so on, the force applied to grip an object is proportional to the stress generated on the tendons that attach the forearm muscles to the outer bone of the elbow. This force in turn is also affected by the diameter of the object being held/gripped. Therefore, it is very likely that the elbow pain problem could have been caused because the player was particularly sensitive to how the racquet's handle/grip diameter changed when switching from the OEM (or a previous type of) wrap to this rubber grip.

Comments: This grip hurt my my elbow. The pain disappeared immediately after I switched back to a more cushioned grip. This grip is too rigid, so instead of dampening racquet vibrations, it transfers those vibrations directly up your arm, causing pain. I'd discourage players prone to tennis elbow from buying this. Just my 2 cents, your mileage may vary.

Comments: When I bought my PK FCB 175 last year I was totally impressed it came stock with a rubber grip, and not some worthless leather wrap around grip. Not only does PK one up its comp by doing that, their rubber grip is as good as it gets, and grips equally to the Python and a tad better than the Head Tacki Mac grips. Just another reason to go PK if you want the best. It lasts seemingly forever BTW, much longer than the Head TM, (which wears out quickly), lasts about the same as a Python.

Comments: I looking forward to assessing the effectiveness of this grip, however, the one that I ordered did not come with glue and I am not sure what type of glue to use. Any ideas?

[Dale, We recommend using rubber cement or Gasgacinch.  Watch our "How To Install a Rubber Grip" Video at this link

Comments: Not to knock this grip... it's great and I love it, but if you put it next to a Python Rubber grip, you get versatility in color, a more aggressive threading, and it's a little more stiffer rubber. Just my opinion, but these are my number two's, I would pay the extra $0.05 for the Python.
