Overview

At the core of the Salming Race R9 Mid 2.0 Shoe is the T.G.S.62/75™ torsion guide system. This system enhances the foot's natural movements by providing flexibility in the forefoot and extra stability from the heel to the ball of the foot. The innovative mesh and Exo Skeleton™ upper effectively keeps the foot in the correct position during lateral movements and provides as much breathability and comfort as your favorite pair of running shoes. This uniquely comfortable upper construction helps the shoe to feel perfect on your foot from the first instant with virtually zero break-in time. Also, this shoe features minimal heel to toe drop for proper body alignment and thick forefoot cushioning with rebound characteristics.

  • Fit: Length is true to size, width is standard; no break-in required.

Comments: After 3 months, the mesh on the Race R9 toebox on my right shoe started separating from the leather, right above the "S" logo on the right side.  By month 4, they were fully separated and unwearable.  Racquetball Warehouse only has a 30 day return policy, so I reached out to Salming directly and after multiple attempts, never heard back from customer service after our initial conversation. Having spent many years in the outdoor/technical outerwear industry, I don't understand this kind of customer service.  The actual cost on these shoes is a fraction of the cost of what social media can do to a small company. Anyway, I can't recommend these shoes at all.  They were nice while they were intact.  I've really loved my HI-Tec, Harrow, and Asics though. I'm going with a set of Nike Hyperchase this time around, which are less than half the price. I won't recommend Salming if longevity is important in your shoes.
