4 out of 5 Stars
Good stringing machine overallI would give it 5 stars but giving it 4 because of how far the electric crank is from racquet that makes it require longer strings to tie knot at the end. Also the LED monitor is quite confusing to figure out and not straight forward to save settings, but the machine does work well and is accurate. If the electric crank was a bit closer to the racquet it would require less strings to turn in order to create a knot. Still trying to figure out the LED manual settings on how to save the tension.

Comments: Sturdy machine.

Comments: The machine will arrive this afternoon. For those that have a hard time deciding between X-ELS (with drawers vs. progression no drawers) vs. Crank + Wise, hope this will help you decide. I will not be stringing at high-volume (as in a shop situation), but I wanted accuracy; hence self centering arms that saves time are not necessary as well as coarse/fine adjust separation knob. I wanted something that's portable if needs to be. The X-ELS + Premium Stand + Casters + Tools + Cover + Pedal is cheaper than ELSs that come with a stand. The Wise is loud, although it does electronic linear pull with diablo that allows for 360 rotation, 5003 or 6004 + Wise is beyond my price range and there is no X version of the Progression ST II. Plus, the fixed/static distance between the X-ELS clamp head with respect to the racquet grommets should produce more consistent tension with 360 racquet rotation; i.e. one doesn't have to deal with different angles of dynamic pull with/without Wise adapter. The rotational clamp head replacement is only $32 if the diamond coating wore off. Rotational clamp mechanism is simple, no need to adjust for different string gauges like linear pull clamps do. Linear pull machines use rotational motors + bunch of other stuff that may break over time. Do you really want to wind hard polys around that small of a diameter of the diablo? (people are debating over pre- or not pre-strech to relieve coil memory, you just added a bit more using that small diablo). After weeks of research, the X-ELS + premium stand + casters + tools (tension meter, cutters, etc) + foot pedal + cover is really the best value for the home stringer with limited money but want accuracy and consistency; you really don't need the number pad or string length meter on the high-end ELS models. Ok, what about extra strings lengths or slower stringing speed vs linear pull? Well, if you don't string high-volume, it's a non issue. Will provide a review of the machine soon.

Comments: Excellent stringing machine! I had a cheaper stringing machine and the difference in the quality is easily notable. Excellent machine for anybody with stringing experience. The stringing machine has different functions where a cheaper machine does not and it helps the stringer do a better job.
