+ Demo Racquet

Durability, power, and hot new graphics will help you achieve your MAX potential! The Gearbox MAX2 170T racquet features an all new Material Response System (M.R.S.) which maximizes the frame's response by adjusting the ratio of High Modulus Graphite and Higher Impact Resistant Graphite.  Weighing in around 17 grams heavier than it's MAX1 Blue predecessor, this MAX2 170T Neon Blue is slightly less maneuverable (because of an increased swingweight) but has the same 7 point head-heavy balance.  Overall, this new design includes improved torsional stiffness, more power, and continues the tradition of durable frames that Gearbox is known for.

All racquets come factory strung with a wrist cord installed. Click the Specs tab for more details.

Comments: I really like this racquet.  It has great feel, power, durability and accuracy.  My only con on the racquet and the previous 250t that I had is the strings keep breaking.  I have to replace them every other month.  I play 3-5 times a week.

String type and tension: 32 and she mixes the string type to control durability. It's not working.

Comments: I love the look, feel, and play of the 170 MAX1 T.  Lots of power and good for my touch shots.  The head heavy balance is not noticeable like other head heavy racquets.  As for the look of the new MAX2, don't like the look but look forward to seeing how it hits compared to the MAX1.

Comments: I LOVE gearbox, I love the new neon colors, but I simply cannot play with this or any other gearbox racquet now. This racquet is GREAT for pure power players with fast swings and pass shots, but not for myself with my best weapons being a pinch shot and a lob serve. Most durable frames in the game, great company, but I have to regrettably say goodbye to gearbox and the extremely head heavy racquets.

Comments: I think the racquets look cool. I've played with the 165T and 170T and have had compliments from other players. The racquet plays great and is very accurate. Good power from anywhere on the court, great splat shots, good touch and finesse in doubles.

Comments: This new color scheme is horrible. The entire new line looks like a 80's spandex throwback.
