Overview

The HEAD GrapheneXT Extreme 155 Racquet is packed with new innovations and is HEAD's lightest racquet ever! Compared to standard Graphene, the new GrapheneXT construction is made even stronger through a better bonding process which saves weight in key areas of the frame. Improved energy transfer allows for an even faster swing speed and explosive power. In addition, HEAD's engineers optimized the traditional teardrop head shape to create a new Delta shape which includes the innovative Adaptive String Pattern. ASP allows you to customize your string pattern and choose between the traditional 16 main pattern for a balance of power and control or the new 12 main pattern for maximum power. Advanced players will appreciate the distribution of weight that results in a head heavy racquet that is still extremely maneuverable due to a super low swingweight.

Comments: Just got mine today...with a python grip it weighed 199 grams! I thought the strung weight was supposed to be 177 grams...haven't played with it yet.

Comments: The Head Graphene XT Extreme 155 racquet is very light weight and easy to make rapid shots. Because of its composition and weight it is a terrific racquet to swing and accurately target specific areas on the court. The bright blue color of this racquet is very attractive and catches your eye. For those who prefer a lighter racquet, this is "the one"!

Comments: I had the chance to demo all three of the new GrapheneXT racquets this last weekend and I found that this 155 the best of the lot.  Now I'm a big HEAD fan and have owned or demoed just about every model over the last decade and for me, this racquet is as close to the best one I've played in years.  I am 57 years old and have been playing for 40 years and have tried tons of racquets and just keep gravitating to HEAD's because I like the balance of control, power and lack of vibration.  I'm a feel player so I need a racquet that has a big sweet spot and doesn't rotate easily on mishits.  The Extreme 165 and Pro really felt poor to my taste for they both had a ton of vibration for a HEAD racquet and the power was underwhelming, so when I tried the 155 last, I wasn't expecting much as I tend to like a little heavier racquet...heck, I still break out the MegaBlast 175!  But I must say, I will most definitely own this racquet.  It is well balanced and doesn't "overswing" like many 155's do; you can get "ahead" on the swing because of weight and then really have to swing hard, just to get power.  This racquet is just the opposite.  Super nimble, hyper quick but always..and I mean always stable.  Perfect for the player who changes speeds and has good hands.  I especially noticed it's power on high backhands - you can hammer it and feel it glide through the hitting area with ease and power without ever getting "whippy" and over light in the feel.  That shot, in particular, is a hard one to generate power, and yet this racquet gave me more than I have ever had.  Same goes for ceiling shots...can create them from anywhere.  Power is an 8 out of 10 but you get the sense you're hitting harder because it's so stable and allows you to wait on the ball a little more.  But for an old guy like me, I have to have a racquet that let's me change pace and pick up the ball low on half volleys.  It was stupid how well this handled in the front court.  I have played the HEAD Submission for the last two years and am happy with it but only when I have a new set of Ashaway Reds on them...so I've been looking for something better.  I believe I've found it.  NOTE:  I was the first to demo these racquets as I took the wrapping off of them, so the strings were factory fresh.  I'm a top 3 player at my club and I think that the guys are in for a surprise when I show up with this axe.
