Updated with an awesome retro cosmetic for 2022, this racquet's surgical control and sublime feel never gets old

Volkl updates the cosmetic of their iconic C10 Pro! Like previous versions, this stick packs a thin 20mm beam, 12+ ounce weight and buttery flex. It also delivers surgical control on full swings.  Advanced players will find enough mass for absorbing and redirecting the pace of big hitters, and there is impressive power available to those who can swing this stick fast. There's also enough touch for hitting droppers on a dime. At net, this stick feels solid against pace, and the touch is spot on. Volkl also incorporates its Twin Absorber Handle System and Soft Butt Cap to absorb unwanted shock and vibration, while still allowing exceptional ball feedback. All in all, this is an obvious choice for experienced players in search of control and feel.

Although it has a different cosmetic, this racquet features the same specs and playability as the C10 Pro 25th Anniversary Edition

Tommy Lee JonesI picked it cause the weight is similar to the RF97, but the swing weight is not outrageous and the stiffness is not through the roof. You can rip it, volleys are tasty, spin is fabulous, touch is sensational. Hitting it kinda sounds weird I think because of the whole soft buttcap thing, but it doesn't matter at all and just ignore anyone who picks a racquet off what it looks like or what it sounds like. Rocket launcher is still a rocket launcher even if it sounds like a clown horn and is ugly as sin. The thing is a wand. It's like that Men in Black scene: "oh yeah, it's worth it... if you're strong enough".

Epic feel, good balance of plow and controlI love the Prince Phantom 93P but it breaks strings all the time and the 14x18 pattern is too open for slices. Also love the Pure Strike 98 16x19, but it's a bit high for the swingweight and sometime feels too head-heavy. The C10 Pro is silky, has great plow, and the thin beam makes it so smooth and sensitive when you need it. It cuts through the air fast, great on all strokes. This thing is honestly so underrated and not well known. I've demoed/played well over 35 racquets and if you're looking for a player's racquet for all-court and a classic precision feel with a modern twist (good spin rates), look no further. Get away from those chunky beams. Even at 330 grams, if you're used to anything over 315 SW, you'll be fine and get used to it.

Retro Cosmetic Evokes the PS 6.1 ClassicFantastic racquet -- just add a leather grip and it's like a cross between the RF97 & the PS 6.1 Classic. Because of the 20mm beam it feels more comfortable than the RF, with plenty of old-school touch & plow-through. In my opinion the new colors look amazing. I can't recommend this frame enough, especially with gut-poly strings.

C10 Pro vs. Pro Staff 90 vs. Pro Staff RF97AI'm on a market for a more relaxing racquet to replace my Wilson Pro Staff 90 that I've been using for 15 years. I'd argue that Volkl C10 Pro is a better upgrade to the Wilson Pro Staff 90 than the Wilson Pro Staff RF97. Volkl C10 Pro vs. Pro Staff 90 (both Luxilon Alu Power Rough 55): - C10 is less powerful, makes more spin on an average ball, not as easy to hit a clean winner of a slow ball, much easier to defend the baseline. - Similar maneuverability to PS90, easy to play low balls and slice - Some online reviewers mentioned that C10's handle shape is different from Wilson's, and while it's true, I did not experience any discomfort. Volkl C10 Pro vs. Wilson Pro Staff RF97 (both Luxilon Alu Power Rough 55): - C10 is a lot less powerful, slightly more spin on an average ball, much more maneuverable. RF97A is quite difficult to use on low balls. - C10 is much more plush playing racquet than RF97.

Alternative to RF97This racquet feels so good it's almost like hitting with Area 51 technology. I usually play with the Wilson RF97 and if I didn't have so many of them I would strongly consider buying this one. I hit with it for one hour and it felt like butter in my hand- super comfortable. My other racquet is the Prince 93. But honestly to me this one feels way better than anything out there. I am a 5.0+ player who's been around tennis for 48+ years.

tennis mike They have finally brought the swing-speed back where it belongs (was) and the racquet feels like it used to feel... If you liked it once upon a time, you will like it again. The paint job might be so ugly it is cool. String this with a powerful skinny multifilament and it plays great.
