Caused rubbingI really wanted to like these shoes since I love New Balance, but after the second time I wore them my ankle started hurting. On the inner side of your foot it is very high and since I don’t wear the socks that go to your calves it was constantly rubbing. The soles were very comfortable and it felt very sturdy on everything except that part.

Good from the get-go!Having read the other reviews about the heel cup being high, I had my doubts. They were put to rest as soon as I got them on. The shoes are comfortable, lightweight and easy to move in. I absolutely love the color; pink and orange. Wouldn’t hesitate to get another pair in a different color.

Love the cushion, fit & fun colorsThis shoe provides a decent amount of cushion, which I needed for ongoing heel pain, without sacrificing responsiveness on the court. They have become my go to shoes in the past two years. I really like the fun colors, too.

terrible ankle blistersThe shoe itself is very comfortable but the way they are cut on the ankle I bleed every time I wear these shoes.

Super HARDI love new balance shoes, however this one missed the boat. As soon as I put it on, I realized it hits the ankle in the wrong place. I didn't even take 2 steps in them because I knew they would create blisters. It's like having a piece of plastic jamming you every step. I should have read the other reviews that referenced this same problem before I bought them. Save your time and money!!!

Hard as rock support for wide feetI wear the NB 1080 running shoes and love the plush feel. It's noticeably missing here. The shoes are wide enough, but they are off as soon as the match is done. A little cushion would go a long way!!!

OuchThese gave me terrible blisters. The shoe hits on the ankle in just the wrong spot. The color is fun though but I can't wear them anymore.

LTI was looking for a wider toe box and I heard great things about this shoe. It fit the bill in every regard. It fits true to size. Ultimately I had to return them because the area under the inner ankle is cut unusually high for my foot and gave me horrible blisters. Just be mindful when trying them on.

If you need cushionWith a tendency towards plantars, these shoes have been the best for cushion and support. I've tried Wilson (horrible, like playing barefoot) and KSwiss (not bad but not great either) and I'm now back with NB. They're light, reflexive and offer the best cushion I've found. I'll definitely be buying again.

Do not recommendPlayed one game of doubles in these and had horrible blisters on my inside ankles to the point of leaving scars. They come up and hit in just the worst place. Returned weeks ago.

StylingI bought this shoe because of the looks! It matches our team uniform. After the first wearing I got blisters on my ankle bones. I usually wear ASICS and they must not ride up to my bone like these do. Yes, these are bigger in the toe box leaving me with extra room. I will not wear them in a match, but I have only worn them about 6 times. I put my own orthotics in so, my feet feel fine.

NB Lav 2I really liked the looks of the shoe. Due to some foot problems that occurred after I purchased the shoe, I was not able to "break it in" in a timely matter. It does take awhile to get this shoe ready to play.

New Balance Lav 2Fit is wider than the Lav1. I would have gone for a B size or 8.0 not 8.5 D. I like the extra wide stabilizers. This model needs breaking in unlike the Lav1.
