Volkl adds some extra stability and flexibility to the iconic V1 formula

With the V1 Evo, Volkl adds some extra stability and flexibility to the V1 formula. In addition to giving experienced players the tools to hit a heavy ball, this stick has impressive pocketing and ball feedback. Technologies include Volkl's Vario Beam along with Big Grommets (for extra comfort and power) and a Dual Dampening Grip (for a smoother feel at impact). Like the V1 Classic, this racquet has 102 square inch head, making it slightly more forgiving and torsionally stable than a standard 100 square inch frame. It also has an open 16x19 string pattern for easy access to spin. In addition to feeling stable against big hitters, the V1 Evo delivers plenty of put-away power to those who can get it moving fast. Ultimately, by creating a more stable and flexible version of the iconic V1 Classic, Volkl has delivered a very seductive option to experienced players.

Volkl V1 for the WIN!!!I just started playing doubles and competitively this year! I've loved tennis but have only played for fun over the years. Tennis Warehouse's demo program was exactly what I needed to find the right racquet! I'm 5' 10", athletic and pretty strong for a 56 year old! lol Therefore, my focus was on control not power. I demoed the V1 with Wilson Clash 100 Pro and the Yonex EZone 100SL. (which I thought I would like the most) However, It was a close tie with the Clash....the tie breaker was the grip. It just felt better in my hand! Thank you Tennis Warehouse for the demo program and making the purchase of my first "real" racquet, an easy one!!

Perfect balance between power and controlThis is definitely the best racquet I own right now. It has the perfect balance between control and power. If you want more power, you can set up in your strings as the same way you can do it for control. The forgiving spot area is awesome due to its head size and the crisp/flexy feel makes you to revive the good old days from Volkl V1 classic but with a new touch of technology and evolution. Two thumbs up for this guy!

ideal blend for so many peopleI have always loved the quiet feel of the V1, but it was often too stiff and light, and as a teaching pro and one time college player, I have often been drawn to frames like the Tour 10, C10 Pro, etc., but need a bit more forgiveness these days. The V1 is just the answer, the weight is ideal, more flexy, but still the amazingly usable stringbed and feel, 5 stars all the way. stringing with a multi at 50 lbs, high altitude tennis. Just sweet and must test, and test for few days as feel is quite different than most other racquets...cheers!

A Much Improved V1I liked this racquet, didn't quite love it, as I expected a more plush feel. Mind you, the racquet is quite comfortable, but the feel is more crisp than I had anticipated. Control is very good, more than enough power, adequate plow, a little less stability than I imagined as well. It's very user friendly, easy to produce really good results with, but you can still feel some of the crispness the original V1 provided. The demo seemed to have a poly string, you might want to try it with a multi.
