Overview

The Yonex VCORE Midweight pickleball paddle features an aerodynamic shape for optimal mobility and a more refined sweetspot. Yonex utilizes a proprietary carbon graphite layup integrated with a thin glassfiber layer for a responsive feel that allows for plenty of power and pop. Additionally, Yonex uses a micro-particle coating on the surface of the paddle for improved ball grip and dwell time providing optimal feel and added control on every shot. Compared to EZONE series, the VCORE paddles are geared towards seasoned players who place priority on speed, precision and spin.

Yonex VCORE MidweightPros: - This paddle feels very comfortable to hold and swing. It has a perfect balance ... not head-heavy and not too head-light. - The hexagon grip is made just right for gripping and switching from forehand to backhand or continental grip. It is light enough for quick exchanges at the NVZ. - The paddle swings quicker than its brother, EZone Midweight, and as such, it is a tad more powerful. - Control and soft game is easily achieved with it. Cons: - Like the EZone Midweight, this paddle surface is too soft so it is easily GOUGED (as in deep scratch) from hard court debris or fraying in plastic balls. - This paddle is a tad short on power. Returns against hard serves and drives tend to go shorter than desired. All in all, a pleasant PB paddle but with glaring shortcomings considering the high price.

Quality PaddleCarries over Yonex’s quality construction from their tennis line. Great balance of power and control. The face surface grips the ball well for spin. The grip shape and feel is perfect. Would highly recommend to try it out. Overall excellent paddle.

Well-balanced paddleI've had the opportunity to play with this paddle over a few days, both outdoor and indoor, and so far I am really liking it. In my experience, it is slightly more of a control/touch paddle rather than a power paddle, although I've found it is responsive and I can drive the ball well with it. Due to the shape of it, it seems to be a bit more aerodynamic than most other paddles I've had or tried. This helps when manipulating the paddle at the kitchen line and returning (or deadening) hard-hit volleys from the other team. Definitely a paddle I plan on keeping in my bag.
