Overview

A premium multifilament string X-One Biphase delivers superb comfort, feel and a crisp response. A good choice for players seeking an arm-friendly string without sacrificing power. Provides good tension maintenance, too. About as gut-like as synthetics get. Offers a livelier feel with less durability compared to the thicker gauge versions. A great choice to liven up a tight string pattern. According to Tecnifibre "the X-One Biphase string uses High Heat Capacity (H2C) fibers which allows the use of an innovative chemical treatment process called Trimerization. This new process increases the cohesion between chemical molecule links through extreme variations in temperature to result in ultimate dynamic efficiency (power) and exceptional feel. The new patented Biphasic process, with its visible marks on the string, extends string life by 20% and offers increased spin. Similar to its leading string, NRG2, the multifilament fibers within this string are immersed in polyurethane to provide shock absorption and optimum comfort."

Tecnifibre X-One Biphase 1.18mmAbsolutely love this string. I have it at 24 kilograms (52 pounds) on my Wilson Pro Staff 97 V13 and I will go up to 25 kilograms (55 pounds) on one of my racquets.

Previous Feedback

Comments: This string is outstanding. I am a former D1 college tennis player and a current USTA 5.0, I have suffered with elbow and shoulder pain. I have been using gut to help with my arm problems but the cost of the string is too much. Using the Technifibre X-One Biphase has been the best decision I have made to help my stem problems and stay within a reasonable string budget. The string is powerful, arm friendly, and capable of delivering a lot of spin. If you have arm problems and still want to play at a high level this is the string for you.

Comments: It's been a while since I posted anything new about this string. I am now using the Wilson Burn 100LS 2.0 and have it strung at 53 lbs. I was very impressed again with this string. I don't know why I stopped using it in the first place. There is no movement showing up after two hours of hitting. There did seem to be more spin than using a thicker string. Hopefully, it will go back on sale again soon.

Comments: Strung at around 53 lbs in several racquets icluding my Angells. After some serious golfers elbow, I gave it a try and man am I glad I did. Like Darrel mentioned, it just hangs in the stringbed. It's seriously like you step into the Matrix. The feeling is truly unique, crisp and soft! However I break it after 4 hours max and topspin is not anywhere near the level a poly should offer. But it sure got me off my injury and back on the court with a smile. I now play with Poly at 35 lbs which works great for me but I string any non-stringbreaker and my wife's racquet with this superb string.

Comments: Very comfortable string at the right tensions. I have my Blade 104 strung at 47 lbs and it feels really good. I don't have too much trouble with keeping the ball in play. It feels great on volleys, groundstrokes are effortless and accurate.

Comments: On a 18x20 Prince 100 Tour at 56 lbs, it lasted about 15 hours of play. Started fraying at around 10 hours of play and that is also when tension seemed to drop but not by much. Great ball pocketing. The 100 Tour is already a comfortable racquet but this string takes it 1 notch higher. Gives a crisp response which is much needed on a racquet like the 100 Tour. Also, I felt the added power without much loss in control. Predominantly I'm a baseliner who likes to hit top spin 80% of the time. It is on the higher side in the multi cost bracket but it is really good.

Comments: I've used this string in a couple of racquets. I look for something thin and super arm-friendly. I usually use natural gut, but wanted to give this a whirl. This fit what I needed, but strung up in my Prince Exo3 Tour, it was too much power. The ball would spring off the racquet. However, strung up in my Wilson Pro Staff 90, it's working out fairly well. The power is toned down and volleys are nice and crisp. I'm not a string breaker, so no issues with durability for me. Overall, I still prefer natural gut, but when my preferred type is out of stock, this is something I would consider again. The red color also looks great in the ProStaff.
