ProKennex 2012 KM FFT F175 Racquet
Comments: FRAGILE FRAGILE FRAGILE! Won this racquet as a prize at a tournament so I cannot complain about losing money. Loved the racquet (played really well) until I noticed a very small crack at the top of the racquet (almost looked like a hairline crack which grew into a full blown break) - Aside from the occasional floor/wall hit during normal play, I was NOT AT ALL TOUGH on this racquet. Tried getting ProKennex to replace it but their warranty is basically "unless it is sitting in your bag and it magically breaks you are out of luck". I had been using an Ektelon racquet for 1.5 years and never had any breaks like this - so it has to be the engineering or materials they use. Reading other reviews now I see I am not the only one with this issue. Glad I didn't spend a wad of cash on it.
Comments: weak frame!!!10 months and mine was done!
Comments: This racket has a great feel in your hand. No vibration when you hit the ball on a short hop or pinch. Great for lob serving and drive serving. My complaint about it is it's durability. I have gone through 6 of them since August. They all seem to break in the same spot. I have been nothing but a Pro Kennex player but the price you pay for this racket isn't worth the short-term use you will get out of it.
Comments: Superb accuracy and amazing maneuverability, without compromising much power. but... Fragile Fragile Fragile. I bought two, broke both within a a couple of months. Both were replaced under warranty and one of those has now broken. So 3/4 for racquets have now broken. I'm a notorious string breaker but have not had a habit of breaking frames, until this racquet.
Comments: This is the worst racquet I've ever played with. I bought two of these and busted both of them with in a two week time frame. The frame is brittle. Poorly made.
Comments: I absolutely loved this racquet. I have been playing with E-Force and Ektelon racquets but on a whim decided to try (demo) the prokennex. I was really impressed by the feel of the racquet. I had been looking for a racquet that was more maneuverable than my current racquet and this one really fit the bill. The balance is absolutely perfect and I was still able to generate a lot of power from it. The racquet seemed to weigh a lot less than the 175g spec. When you hit the ball you can feel exactly where you hit it on the racquet but there is minimal vibration. A friend of mine suggested putting a vibration dampener but I kind of liked the feedback I got from the racquet. I don't think vibration would really be an issue in the long run. Of the 4 racquets I demoed this was by far my favorite.
Comments: Really great control with this racquet. More maneuverable than any racquet I've tried, including most 160s. Durability seems decidedly poor however.
Comments: Doesn't have very strong durability. I got one that broke within the first month of play for no apparent reason. Replaced it with warranty and my second KM175 broke within 3 months of play.
Comments: A clarification on my review: I was saying the strings are breaking due to a very poorly made grommet, that are splitting at top of racquet. I've gone through 4 grommets and a friend playing with the 165 has as well.
Comments: The pop in this racquet is tremendous and I don’t lose control. It comes with a rubber grip and the 17 gauge strings are meant for power not to last you a long time. The price for the stick is a bargain. Vibration is minimal and with a simple rubber band it can be eliminated.
Comments: Love the racquet, I also had the 2011 version. My only complaint was grommet near the top of racquet was splitting or breaking off causing multiple premature string breaks. Had to replace grommet twice on 2011 and within 3 weeks on the 2012. So beware if you are a hard hitter that tends to break string, this racquet will cost you $$$.
Comments: This isn't a racquet, it's a BOOMSTICK!! I just got mine last week and can't believe how hard I can hit the ball with this thing with control! It will undoubtedly elevate my game to the next level. HIGHLY recommended!
Comments: I had a good time demoing this racquet. It was basically between this and the F165 as to what I would choose for this year. I had an identical experience with this racquet as the F165, but I found the 165 easier to swing and more customizable if I wanted to add a few grams to it. I must say this is the most stable racquet I have ever hit and is the clear winner as far as looks are concerned. Definitely give this racquet if you are a fan of the brand, weight/swing weight, or balance point.
