The upper material was completely redesigned for more breathability with a mesh section above the toe-box. Don't let the light weight fool you - this shoe has significant torsional stability for quick cuts on the court (thanks to ASICS' Trusstic System Technology) plus the durability you would expect from a heavier shoe model.
