Overview

Featuring a more powerful, head-heavy balance compared to the previous version, the 2014 Ektelon O3 Red 170 Racquet will guide you towards victory and leave your opponent seeing red. By incorporating large O3 ports in the frame design you get a much larger sweetspot, a livelier response, and increased power. O-Ports also make the frame more aerodynamic, reducing drag, and producing faster swing speeds. The increase in strung weight, swingweight, and balance allowed the Ektelon power level to increase from the previous 2700 up to 3200, making it ideal for players looking for a powerful, forgiving racquet.

Comments: This is an incredibly intimidating racquet to use against other players. It is SO head heavy. After officially switching to Ektelon and transitioning from the old, lighter O3 Red this is a tough change. I have been playing with this racquet for the last several weeks alone in practice and now that my arm is used to the swing speed I can not believe how well it powers through back court shots. Almost effortless control. Still working on the front court game but that is coming alone nicely as well! If you you give it time the results will come! One other negative could been the durability but we will wait and see!

Comments: Plays very, very heavy.  The 170 weight, in the description, it is not correct.  Plays closer to 185.  Not good at all for your front court game.  Basically, this racquet is unusable. Would be a really decent racquet if it were 20 grams lighter.
