The Ektelon EXO3 Attack is offered with Silver "Original Inserts" located at 12, 3 & 9 o'clock on the frame.  These Silver inserts all weigh more than the extra Blue "Custom Inserts" included with the racquet.  Therefore, adding Blue inserts to the frame will reduce weight in the specific location where the insert is installed on the frame.  This allows the weight of the racquet to vary from 168 grams to 175 grams and the balance point to range from 1 pt. head heavy, even balance or 1 pt. head light.  The Ektelon power level for this racquet ranges from 3700-3800.

Comments: I was unimpressed by this racquet. The weighted inserts pop out in play, which is very distracting. I found myself testing them between each point. And then the frame broke. I don't slam my raquets into the wall, but I'll often "tick" the wall when going for a shot. I only noticed the broken frame when my shots suddenly became inaccurate. There was no event (hitting a wall) that caused me to check the racquet besides the sudden inaccuracy.
I wrote to Ektelon requesting a replacement racquet, and they never even bothered to respond.
I've had good luck with Ektelon racquets in the past, but this one was a lemon.

Comments: OK…I still, and have played with the EXO3 Attack’s predecessor, MORE Attack for at least 6 years with great results. With the introduction of the EXO3 Attack, I have to admit I was a skeptic especially with the new technology. My skepticism was confirmed after playing just three rallies with someone else’s racquet, the frame broke @ 3-4 o’clock against the wall. (Can you say ouch $$?) Nonetheless, I gave it another try due to my brand loyalty and Ektelon has made me a believer again. This racquet proved to have an exceptional blend of balance, control, power, with no vibration. This allowed for great passing and ceiling shots; its clearly made for the tactician with sound fundamentals and not the shooter. I don’t know if it’s my familiarity with the Attack or the racquet characteristics but the balance actually made an un-level swing feel wrong meaning very few skips. I am a big fan of the vision grip. I played with the original inserts located at 12, 3 & 9 o'clock on the frame. That means for those that like lighter racquets, a string change is immediately required after your purchase. I am not a fan of being limited to changing the weight at re-string. Due to this restriction I could not assess all of the capabilities of this racquet. Before my purchase, I may wait or hear from EXO3 Attack owner who have played with each racquet variation.

Comments: I have been using the EX03 Black, the best hitting racquet I have ever used, but I have been having problems with them breaking. The EXO3 Attack feels just like the EXO3 Black but I am now concerned about it's durability.

Comments: This is a good racquet.  Very little, if any, vibration.  Hits are solid and control is very good.  I have had Ektelon racquets for many years, and I like the feel of this one the best (I've had the More Dominant, O3 Hybrid Shark, O3 Black, O3 White, EXO3 Copper prior to the EXO3 Attack). The only problem I have with all of the EXO3 racquets is their durability.  Every one of them that I've owned (3, 1 copper and 2 attacks) has cracked at 12 o'clock.  I have not cracked them against the wall - the damage was done while hitting the ball.  Perhaps it's just the way I hit.  I just thought it would be good to let others know both the good and bad experiences I've had with this racquet.

Comments: I have been an Ektelon player for about 7 years now, and they are the only company I trust. Unfortunately, this racquet was a heavy disappointment due to feel and power. I still have my original MORE Attack racquet and actually find it better than this current EX03 model.

Comments: The EX03 Attack is a great combination of power and control. If you are currently using any of the other EX03 racquets you will love the EX03 Attack. I have my racquet strung at 34lbs with Tecnifibre 505 Biphase 18 RB. Compared to the other Ektelon racquets this is by far the most powerful and it has great control. Compared to the E-force Heatseeker this racquet has more power and it is a little more comfortable. I recently switched from E-force to Ektelon and I found this racquet to be much better than the Command Powerflex and the new Heatseeker. The one flaw that comes with this racquet is the vibration, you will need to buy a better vibration dampener because the one that come already on the racquet (as shown in this picture) is not very good. Overall I would give this racquet a (9.5 out of 10) and would name it the best bang for your buck out of all the other racquets out there right now.

Comments: I used a demo at the Las Vegas tournament last month.  As I have been playing with the EXO Black for the past many months and the "Red" for a couple years before, I must say this racquet is BY FAR the best I have played with since the last Attack I owned years ago.  The swing speed is amazing faster than the EXO Black; there is absolutely no vibration at all and the power is excellent.  As most of you will most likely agree, the E-Force tends to be the most powerful racquet on the market, regardless of the damage to the shoulder and elbow, the E-Force faithful's still swear by them.  Having said that, this Attack is every bit, if not more powerful than the E-Force Command, yet you will survive a season of using it without the aches and pains that come with the Eouch-Force Racquets.  I can't wait for them to come available.  I already have 2 on order!
