+ Demo Racquet

Updated for 2013, Gearbox eliminated all paint from the Solid 1.0 frame and incorporated sharp new decals. By eliminating the weight from paint, they were able to include more graphite, further strengthening the racquet. The Gearbox Solid 1.0 165 Teardrop is a mean green machine with it's lightweight maneuverability and head heavy power. The teardrop frame design gives you the control you need when you put on the brakes for those touch shots.  Gearbox has added two new technologies in conjunction with their Solid Head and Proportional Frame designs. New in the Solid 1.0 line are the Displacement Channels for improved structural integrity and maximum power and the new String Dimples, designed to reduce harsh string angles and improve frame durability. The new cosmetics give these improved frames a fresh, contemporary look.

Comments: I've been using the 165 Quad for several years now and up until a few weeks ago I've started to hit with the 165 Tear. Man I should've switched a while back. Great racquet, more power, higher sweet spot and great cosmetics.

Comments: Great stick and best cosmetics yet on the Gearbox brand! Racquet hits a ton and delivers crisp control. I like the slightly head heavier feel as it definitely brings up the power a notch. I also prefer this over the 165Q since it seems to be more maneuverable. That said, this will be my weapon of choice going into the 2012-13 season.
