+ Demo Racquet

Updated for 2013, Gearbox eliminated all paint from the Solid 1.0 frame and incorporated sharp new decals. By eliminating the weight from paint, they were able to include more graphite, further strengthening the racquet. The Gearbox Solid 1.0 170 Teardrop gives you an awesome on court feel with a great balance of power and control.  The narrower teardrop frame shape gives you the control you need when when going for touch shots and the weight and balance helps give you that additional "pop".  Gearbox has added two new technologies in conjunction with their Solid Head and Proportional Frame designs.  New in the Solid 1.0 line are the Displacement Channels for improved structural integrity and maximum power and the new String Dimples, designed to reduce harsh string angles and improve frame durability.  The new cosmetics give these improved frames a fresh, contemporary look.

Comments: I tried this racquet on the demo program. 1st gearbox racquet I've ever played. I preferred it to the E-Force & Ektelon. It was not as cosmetically finished but it was definitely faster, better feel for me. I liked the TearDrop design too. For me, it was more accurate & stable. I'm now going to be a GEARBOX player. I ordered the 165T and I'll review it after I've played with it a month or 2.
